History with real references and  knowledge.

KARACHI, May 31: The finer points of Sufi poet Hazrat Sachal Sarmast’s Urdu poetry were discussed by Prof Altaf Aseem in his lecture organised by the Sindhi department of the Federal Urdu University at the university’s Abdul Haq Complex on Tuesday.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Mohammad Qaiser presided over the talk.
Prof Aseem, a former director of Sachal Chair at Shah Latif University, interspersed his short lecture with a few audio clippings of Sachal Sarmast’s poetry sung at or outside Sufi shrines. He began his speech by giving a brief biographical sketch of the poet.
“He was born in 1735 at Daraza Sharif, a few kilometers from Ranipur. The poet’s father passed away when he was very young, after which his uncle (father’s younger brother) looked after him and played a major role in his upbringing.”

Poet of seven languages.

SACHAL Sarmast was a great saint, a mystic poet, a philosopher and one of the towering personalities produced by Sindh.
His 193rd death anniversary and Urs are being observed all over the province (Thursday through Saturday) at his shrine, Daraza Sharif, Khairpur district.

The spirit of Islamic mysticism, which is a distinctive mark of 16th- century mystic poets of Iran, has exercised a profound influence on the Islamic poetry of the subcontinent.

This influence was the strongest in the 18th century.
Sachal showed excellence in both esoteric and exoteric poetry.

In this respect, Wali Dakhni can favourably be compared to him.
Sachal was fond of Sama (musical session for mystical poetry) where he would be found absorbed in meditation.
His poetry of divine love is in seven languages --

1-Sindhi
2-Seraiki
3-Persian
4-Punjabi
5-Urdu
6-Hindi
7-Arabic

He composed poetry in all poetical genres, including Kafis, Baits, Ghazals, Masnavis, Si Harfis, Mustazad, Hamd, Jhoolna, Gharoli, Musaddas, Mukhammas, Diwan-i-Ashkar and Dard Nama.
Masnavis are his compilation in Persian which are mainly philosophical.

His Sindhi and Seraiki poetry is considered superb. Sachal insisted that his poetry was the result of divine inspiration.

He says: Een sukhan as ishq nay az sharist/kay Khan danad een ashaar (What I utter is inspired by divine love. It is not mere poetry. So how can the ignorant grasp its meaning?)

Before we exceed further lets start with poetry of sachal sarmast.

sachal's poetry

Friend this is the only way to learn the secret way  : ignore the path of others,

even the sufi or saint ,step trails don't follow  dont journey at all.rip the veil from your face.

this is  not this not in religion this love live in .

when love comes to you say Amen!

You by yourself, know what is in your form! Why chant 'Allah Allah'? Find Allah within you. You listen, you see, Allah's word is witness, There is no doubt, O Sachal! that the Lord is One

My visit and  observation .

When  i visit first time with my grandmother
 When  sun set
And moon rise

Listening the stories and songs about the sachal sarmast and other great saint . I experience itself the peace at the shrine of sachal sarmast

The sachal sarmast's basic knowledge

The place "daraza"  village
Is not a simple  but  place of sweet and ecastic songs (nature sings  and mystic verses recited on musical tune )

When evening falls ,  there at the shrines vibrates the violin rod and entire atmosphere is full with mystic tunes

Sachal identifying himself  as!
Daraza  is my Homeland and i get called  by the name sachoo(true  )
It is mystic poetry of sachal sarmast
Who  is
called masoor of the sindh ( diligence of sindh)

He pronounce    openly that allah(god)  is present everywhere

And there is divine existence  here is Devinne existence and he is Devinne existence

I perceived all that is allah(god) is everywhere iam neither light mot fire :
But i am  my self sustainer and lord

Best lines :

Sindhi

Jehn dil peeta ishq da jaam
Sa dil Mast o Mast Mudam
Haq Mojood Sada Mojood

Urdu.

Jis dil ny piya ishq da jaam

Wo dil  khush dikhy or khushiyan malae . wo zat
Har jaga mojoud or
Har waqt moujood .......

English.

The heart that drunk the cup of heavenly love

That became  rejoiced(delight or great joy) and jubilant(expressing  the happiness  )  forever :

Eternal (lastinglforever) truth  is

  Omnipresent(widespread) and omniscient (knowing everything)

Few one sit on chair and preach
Some one teach the bookish knowledge
Some one claim to be judge
Some one emphasis on observance and pretend

And few one turn page after page ,few one r indulged in twists and turn
But never  they teach teach the lesson of love

Eternal truth is omnipresent and omniscient.

Reference.

Imam Ali (AS) has said: “The saints of Allah are those who look at the inward side of the world, while other people look at its outward side; they busy themselves with its remoter benefits, while other people busy themselves with the immediate benefits.

They kill those things which they feared that they might kill them, and leave here in this world what they think would leave them.

They consider trivial what others consider as much. They are enemies of those things which others love while they love things which others hate. Through them, the Quran has been learn and they have been taught by the Quran.

By them, the Quran is followed, and by the Qur'an, they are followed. They do not see any object of hope above what they hope and no object of fear above what they few

Sachal says".

Neither being was there, nor corporal existence was there

Neither was place of punishment ,nor any source of knowledge
Neither there was reward, nor any  compulsion
Neither there was any joy, nor there was  any grief .

Which of and how can be expressed and related by sachal

Sachal sarmast play major role in spreading peace and love.

1) The message of Sufi Saint Sachal Sarmast life was of Tolerance. Race, cast or gender never mattered. Indeed, even Hindus and Christians used to visit his Dargah on standard premises which is the best message for plurality and mankind.

2) And  not only teach the message of love to Muslim  ,he spread his message to ll people and  he was one who does not compare the religion  i_e he says

3)
The same concept of unity of bhitt shah   is expressed by sachal in beautiful manner  as he says
There is no diferance   in Islam and non- Islamic: knowing one knows it,  all that is, is Allah(god) ,himself perceive it.

4) more than Muslim  ,the non Muslim community follow him
And love his mystic poetry  .

5) and he sung unconscious things during normal
And normal during unconscious
And remind us that all the discriminating are the result of misconception of man

IN THE END

Please do not find if you find any blunder ,mistake  or any mis understanding

Thnkyou .

SUFISIM ( SAINT) IN THE SINDH اولیاء سوفی

Sufisim in the sindh  We are studying  Sufism in sindh  fisrt and  in more  detailed because  Sufism in sindh province more   spread as compared to other  History  Prof dr boivin . Said sufisim in sindh  was similiar to that in other muslim world  He said tha the first saint in the sindh was haji  turab (9th century -13th century )  And the he did not go to school  (may all saint does not went to school)   Before the 13th century there was no school  . After the haji turab many Sufism  spread here in the sindh and also born here as  sindhi Dr Boivin said in the 19th century there was a burst of new elite in Sindhi society who were well-versed in Sindhi and other disciplines such as science and English. They took interest in Sufism and started writing about it. But they were more of ‘hagio-biographers’ of Sufi saints. In the 1880s books devoted to Sufi figures were published in which Sufis like Mansoor Hallaj were named (as Sachal Sarmast often quoted Hallaj).
